Chase Expeditions – a global adventure and expedition management company
Victoria Nicholson founded Chase Expeditions a decade ago, having worked in global expedition and challenge logistics since 2007, leading on projects ranging from record- setting Cricket matches at Everest Base Camp to world first solo ocean rows and global news grabbing polar ski expeditions.
While living in the French Alps Victoria worked with globally-recognised leaders in the adventure and expedition field, gaining valuable experience with which to take her career forward and furthering contacts within a constantly growing network of industry specialists.
Our tried and trusted consultants range from the most highly qualified mountain guides, polar, ocean and desert experts to expedition medics, globally renowned adventurers and specialist content directors and documentary producers. We work hand in hand with the best of the best.
Simply put – we specialise in putting people in touch and making things happen.
Chase understands the pressures of expedition life and planning first hand – as we have been involved on both sides of the fence. Victoria has undertaken an unsupported crossing of the Northern Patagonian Icecap (when the worst storm in ten years hit), has managed and undertaken expeditions in locations ranging from The Alps, the Arctic and Antarctica to the Central Arctic Ocean and the Southern Ocean, the High Andes and the Himalayas, and from the Sahara to K2 in Pakistan… taking part in many herself.
Victoria has been to both the Arctic and Antarctica, has completed the gruelling Marathon des Sables – the notorious desert marathon which is known as the most challenging and extreme ultra marathon in the world, as well as many more varying challenges worldwide.
At Chase expeditions, we live adventure 24-7.
We are well versed in coordinating multi agency and sponsor projects, and Victoria is honoured to have managed the largest Walking With The Wounded challenges to date – The 2013 South Pole Allied Challenge (the largest modern day expedition to the South Pole), the 2015 Walk of Britain (a 1000 mile walk of the UK) and the 2018 Walk of America (a 1000m walk across the US).
Chase Expeditions is delighted to count Walking With The Wounded and The Endeavour Fund, part of The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, amongst its long standing clients.
Chase has most recently delivered the latest Walking With The Wounded expedition – the 2018 ‘Walk of America‘ – a 14 week 1000 mile walk across America, and managed Ben Saunders who in November 2017 set out to embark on the longest, solo and unsupported polar journey in history in memory of Lt Col Henry Worsley.
Chase is currently working on a variety of projects including pioneering Arctic sailing voyages with world renowned and multiple record-setting yachts people, European mountaineering challenges, ‘Adventure grand slam’ attempts (which involves climbing all of the 7 highest summits on the 7 continents, as well as skiing to both the North and South Poles, global mountaineering challenges involving all of the 14 x 8000m peaks and Arctic swimming attempts !
